Death – Hearses

I must admit I never really think about my death and definitely not the sort of hearse I would like to have my coffin transported in.

This did though change on a recent visit to Sicily. Whilst sitting outside a cafe drinking a beer the above fantastic looking Maserati hearse drove by. Everybody stopped to look and take pictures of it as it looked stunning.

I have now convinced myself that when I do sign up for a funeral plan I will see if I can tick the Maserati hearse option.

The only downsides are that hearses normally only go at 20 MPH so would be a waste of its high performance engine.

Also Maserati’s have a reliability question mark and it would be embarrassing if it broke down en route to the cemetery.

Not being a biker I do recall passing a motorbike that had a sidecar fitted so that it could do funerals.

The only driverless car point to note is that I would foresee that a driverless hearse/mourners car would probably relieve some of the stress that the undertakers driving the vehicles get during funerals as they would no longer need to be in the cars.
